e-POSTER SESSION
Interactive electronic posters (e-Posters) provide an opportunity for authors to present information that may not be possible to convey with a traditional printed poster. e-Posters enhance visualisation to attract interest of attendees through the use of videos and other embedded media.
All e-poster presenters will have the opportunity to record a 3-minute audio presentation to be included with the poster.
A PDF version of e-Posters will be included in the conference app and website.
e-POSTER HIGHLIGHT SESSION
The Scientific Advisory Committee will select a number of e-Posters to profile, covering a broad selection of topics. Selected e-poster authors will have the opportunity to speak about their e-Poster for 1 minute, using one PowerPoint slide. This is a great opportunity to generate interest in your e-Poster and to present in-person at the conference in Brisbane.
e-POSTER AWARDS
To acknowledge the contribution of the e-poster presenters, we will be offering two Awards with the prize of a $200 book voucher and a certificate for the winners in each category.
- Early Career e-Poster Prize: The Poster judging committee will select one outstanding poster with a runner up.
- Senior e-Poster Prize: The Poster judging committee will select one outstanding poster with a runner up.
- Honourable Mention: Two honourable mentions will be awarded across both categories
HELPFUL HINTS FOR PUTTING YOUR e-POSTER TOGETHER:
e-Posters are a visual presentation of the main points of your topic and make use of graphics such maps, photographs and charts.
- An e-Poster presentation is a graphic/textual way to show others your work. Therefore, your poster presentation should rely on colour, diagrams, charts and visual images to illustrate your ideas rather that presenting information in text.

- The text used must be concise, using just enough words to explain your work and the significance and impact your topic has.
- Select colour combinations that are simple and pleasing to the eye. Two/three colours will unify the poster.
- Lay out and organise the material to make the main message clear.
- Balance the quantity of text and graphics equally and use dot points and lists to increase clarity and quantity of information.
- Check typography, avoid abbreviations, acronyms and jargon.
