In 2023 APSAD will again be providing a hybrid conference experience, combining face-to-face and a virtual conference, over four days, from pre-conference workshops on Sunday 12 November, and the main conference program from Monday 13 November to Wednesday 15 November 2023

If you would like to attend the conference virtually, you will enjoy:
- Access to all the Plenaries livestreamed and on-demand
- Access to two concurrent streams, livestreamed and on-demand – Monday to Wednesday
- Access to the Sunday Pre-Conference Workshops – not all preconference workshops will be available virtually
- Access to digital posters
- Participation in the live Q&A sessions through the conference platform in real-time
- Access to all the recorded presentations post conference.
PLENARY CAPACITY – OVERFLOW ROOM
Due to registrations reaching the capacity of the Plenary room, to ensure the conference is accessible face to face to as many people as possible, there will be an overflow room showing a live stream of the plenary sessions. Seating in the plenary room will be on a first-come-first-serve basis, and we encourage you to get there early to secure a seat in the ballroom.

The Australasian Society on Alcohol and other Drugs (APSAD) is dedicated to promoting improved standards in clinical practice for medical practitioners and other health professionals who deal with alcohol and other drug-related problems in the course of their work. Category Definition
APSAD Member
APSAD member rate applies to current financial members of the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs (APSAD). If you are unsure whether you are a current member please contact the APSAD Office.
Student
Students must be undertaking training during the year of the conference. A student is defined as a holder of a full time student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate.
PLEASE NOTE: a copy of your student identification card will be required to be uploaded during the registration process.
Consumer
A consumer includes all people accessing alcohol and other drug treatment, support and harm reduction services, including drug users and significant others/people affected by another’s drug use.
The Community Group Registration rate
is open to employees and volunteers of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, Non-Government Organisations, not-for-profit community organisations, and Community and Remote Health Centres.

Any delegate affiliated with tobacco entities (current, in the past, or have future plans), tobacco lobbyists, either professionally or on a personal basis, will be ineligible to attend or present at the APSAD Adelaide 2023 Hybrid Conference.
APSAD’s policy is aligned with the World Health Organization’s Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, Article 5.3: There is a fundamental and irreconcilable conflict between the tobacco industry’s interest and public health policy interests.
Any delegate who, in the past five years, has conducted, commissioned or disseminated research for an organisation producing, distributing, selling, or promoting alcoholic beverages, any proxies or affiliates thereof, or an advocacy, trade or Social Aspects Organisation for an alcohol producer/distributer/seller/promoter is ineligible to attend or present at the APSAD Adelaide 2023 Hybrid Conference.
Paid registrations of such persons described above will not be refunded.
