Groups of 5 or above are entitled to a 15% discount on registrations! More information available in the Group Registration site.

In 2024 APSAD will be a face-to-face experience, over four days, with the main conference program from Wednesday 30 October to Friday 1 November with post-conference workshops on Saturday 2 November 2024.

While it has been determined that on-demand/virtual registrations for APSAD Canberra 2024 will not be available, APSAD remains dedicated to increasing scholarship opportunities. These scholarships aim to assist individuals who may face barriers in attending the event in person. Please visit the scholarships page here for more information should you wish to apply.

Category Definition

  • APSAD Member: APSAD member rate applies to current financial members of the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs (APSAD). If you are unsure whether you are a current member please contact the APSAD Office.
  • Student: Students must be undertaking training during the year of the conference. A student is defined as a holder of a full time student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate.PLEASE NOTE: a copy of your student identification card will be required to be uploaded during the registration process.
  • Consumer: A consumer includes all people accessing alcohol and other drug treatment, support and harm reduction services, including drug users and significant others/people affected by another’s drug use.

The Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol & other Drugs (APSAD) is the Asia Pacific's leading multidisciplinary organisation for professionals involved in the alcohol and other drug field. Any delegate who, in the past five years, has conducted, commissioned, received funding from, or disseminated research for an organisation producing, distributing, selling, or promoting; alcoholic beverages; tobacco products, including electronic nicotine delivery systems; and gambling products, including but is not limited to; lobbyists, either professionally or on a personal basis, any proxies or affiliates thereof, or any advocacy, trade, or Social Aspects Organisation for a producer /distributer /seller /promoter, is ineligible to attend or present at the APSAD Canberra 2024 Conference.

Paid registrations of such persons described above will not be refunded.

By checking the Conference Terms and Conditions box when submitting an abstract for presentation and/or registering for the conference you declare that none of the specifications described above apply to you.
